Coffee is one of the most famous drinks in the world, not only because of its exquisite flavor and aroma, but because it has become a fundamental element of good cuisine around the world. However, not all types of coffee are adapted to the demands of today's consumers.
The range of varieties and variations of coffee make us face the challenge of finding the most suitable for our consumption, although often we do not know some simple tips that we can put into practice to enjoy a quality product, even if it is prepared at home. We want to tell you about it!
Water: Although it does not seem very obvious, the basis of a good cup of coffee has to do with its main companion, which is nothing more than water. When roasted and ground coffee comes in contact with water at a good temperature, then we will have a perfect result.
The coffee maker: Another element that perhaps we overlook is the coffee machine, so the hygiene of the recipient where we go to prepare our coffee is crucial so that the final product is of the highest possible quality. For example, coffee has a significant amount of fat that if it were to accumulate in some container could alter the flavor of our coffee considerably. It is necessary to avoid washing the coffee machines with very perfumed soaps and we must ensure that there are no traces of cleansers or disinfectants.
The preparation: There are some essential rules to prepare a good coffee in the comfort of our house. We must start by using a fresh coffee, grind it right when it is going to prepare and use only the necessary amount.
Excesses are bad and a smaller amount may not be a good idea either. Ideally, place between 5 and 7 grams of ground coffee per cup, which is equivalent to a soup spoon heaped. Also, the amount of water suggested for that amount of coffee would be about 100 milliliters of water.
Never, but never reuse what was left over from the coffee. It is a product that already delivered its properties, and using it again would put us in front of a mediocre result, of poor quality and with a flavor that would not conform to the quality of what would result from a good freshly brewed coffee.
Another point to take into consideration is the temperature at which it will be served, as it should not be boiling or being too hot. Also, if it got cold, it's not a good idea to reheat it. It is also opportune to know that the flavor of the coffee will be preserved intact for at least one hour.
